YOUTH-NECK – OUR BEGINNINGS
When I think about how this journey was set in motion, I recall the time a few years back when I was at the office of a prominent NY plastic surgeon. I began to notice my neck was looking wrinkled and “crepey”. My friends in their 50’s also had the same problem. Our wrinkley necks began to shout our age. Especially while speaking or during other activities, our necks wrinkled and made us look awful. There was so much extra skin, and it moved. I thought, “This is not me!” I started seeing my aging Mom instead of myself when I looked in the mirror.
This look of aging skin prompted me to see a doctor. That was it. I was getting my neck fixed! I had made up my mind! My friends felt similarly. Many of them went to local clinics for injections and other treatments, which were costly and painful. My friends had large black and blue
marks after some treatments. They looked worse and it was very, very expensive. I made an appointment with a plastic surgeon.
The visit went as follows:
“It will cost you $30,000 for this procedure, and I will TRY to give you a good result. The recovery will be painful, and you will need to take a month off work. You will also need to wear a support garment for at least 2 weeks while you are healing.” I think the phrase “I will TRY to give you a good result” caused me to run out of that office so fast, I left track marks on the carpet.
There had to be a better way. I was not ready to pay that kind of loot for something that MIGHT have brought me a smooth neck. What about the pain, the recovery, the time off work, and the wearing of a garment? I searched the Internet but there was nothing available that was affordable, and within reach, to solve this problem. I thought about this a lot. I dreamt about a smooth, lovely neck, one that did not make me look like a turkey. I began to notice the necks of people on television, especially news commentators, and women on the business networks. Their necks gave away their ages. Didn’t they notice, and didn’t the stylists notice, and insist they cover those wrinkly, crepey necks?
I created Youth-Neck sheaths to improve the look of the neck, without surgery, injections, or time off. It took about two years of research, and working with various people to figure out all of the details, but here it is. Finally! If you want to wear a great dress, show your neck and wear long earrings – you can now wear a sheath. You will not be able to see it, and most people won’t either. It’s comfortable, breathable, and latex free. It is also hypoallergenic and disposable.
Most importantly, it’s inexpensive, improves the look of the neck, and you can pick and choose when to wear one. This is what I use, that is, until I can justify surgery, but in the meantime, I can look great in photos. I can go to events, dinners, or meetings. Wear a sheath when you feel self-conscious. You will love the look of your neck and forget the other options. So, that’s the story in a nutshell.
If you have questions, email me and I will do my best to answer. Email me your feedback, and let me know if this worked for you and if not, how we can improve the product. I hope you enjoyed reading how Youth-Neck sheaths came about! And now – enjoy dinner out, wear great clothes, wear a great necklace, and bare your skin!
